Oklahoma splits emergency housing money by geography. The Department of Commerce sends Emergency Solutions Grant funds to nonprofits outside Oklahoma City and Tulsa and does not serve people from its own office, so rural residents use its provider map and call the local organization. Oklahoma City and Tulsa have their own routes.
Legal help is also unusual here. Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma runs a Right to Counsel program with no income requirement, but only in eight zip codes across Oklahoma City and Tulsa. It urges tenants in those areas to call as soon as landlord trouble starts rather than waiting for a hearing. Everyone else uses its general intake line.

Facing Eviction in Oklahoma?
Under the Oklahoma Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, a landlord may end a rental agreement if rent is not paid within 5 days after written notice demanding payment, and that demand counts as a demand for possession, so no further notice to quit is needed. The notice can come before or after a suit is filed. For other material lease breaches, the agreement can end on a date at least 15 days after notice unless the problem is fixed within 10 days. Month-to-month tenancies generally take 30 days' written notice, and a landlord who wrongfully removes or locks out a tenant can owe damages. The Act's text does not set out court hearing timelines, so ask legal aid about those. Read the official guidance
