Facing Eviction in San Antonio?

If your landlord files an eviction suit, the city says your court hearing will generally be 6 to 10 days from the delivery date, and that missing it means you lose by default. The Texas State Law Library says the hearing is set no sooner than 10 days and no later than 21 days after the suit is filed. These don't match, so go by the date on your court papers and check with legal aid. An appeal requires a deposit to the court of one month's rent. If you are facing eviction, the city's Neighborhood and Housing Services Department takes calls at 210-207-5910. Read City of San Antonio: Eviction Prevention
