Metropolitan Baptist Church
Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries (RMM) serves as the social ministry arm of Metropolitan Baptist Church. RMM coordinates 12 ongoing community programs that make up an active weekly schedule.
Clients are provided emergency food assistance through RMM’s Client-Choice Food Pantry. Each person receives a 3-day supply of nutritious food staples. Food Pantry doors open Saturday mornings 11:00- 11:30 a.m. (except fifth Saturdays in a month), and clients must be in the building by 11:30 a.m.
Food pantry participants are required to bring photo I.D. for each member of the household, and proof of address. Families may receive assistance once per month.

Helping Hands Food Pantry provides nutritious and balanced food to those in need on a monthly emergency basis. Each registered household may receive an emergency food bag once every four weeks. The bags contain enough food for 3 meals a day for 3 days for the number of people to be served. Food bags include: cereal, rice, pasta, milk, canned juice, canned fruit, canned vegetables, tomato sauce, soup, canned/dried beans, canned meat and/or fish. Peanut butter is provided in the large bags. There is also a supplement of fresh vegetables and fruits that are seasonally available.
The Helping Hands Food Pantry is located in the basement of St. Augustine Rectory at 116 6th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The panty distributes food every Saturday from 10:00am - 12:00pm.

Reaching Out Community Services
From Farm to Table program provides healthy food choices for our clients. Hundreds of pounds of fresh vegetables are distributed each week to participants. As part of this initiative, community chefs host cooking demonstrations throughout the season using each week’s vegetables which ‘veggie educators’ are available at each distribution. We also visit our local farms, and our farmers visit us each year.

South Asian Council for Social Services (SACSS)
The South Asian Council for Social Services (SACSS) offers a Food Pantry program that addresses the needs of community members who are facing extreme food shortage and hunger. SACSS provides South Asian food items such as staples, pulses and spices to those who are eligible and have registered for the service. Clients collect food items of their choice every Friday from 11 AM to 12:30, and 2 PM to 4 PM. Confidentiality is maintained during client registration and throughout the process. The office has easy access for seniors and clients with limited mobility.
Other agencies are welcome to refer their clients to this program. Our goal is to reach the many individuals and families in the community who hold diverse religious beliefs, speak different languages, and need a variety of South Asian food and thus ensure food security.

Our groundbreaking Digital Food Choice Pantry (DCFP) distributes uncooked meals to those who need food using a point system based on family size. Fresh produce, often grown in New York State, is also available daily through the pantry as well as fresh local milk.

Food Pantry provides food and groceries to individuals and families in need. Every Tuesday the pantry distributes food and clients are given a designated day per month to prevent overcrowding or food shortages.
With the help of the Food Bank for New York City and other state and federal agencies, the pantry evolved into a Choice Pantry. Choice Pantries award points to eligible residents based on family size and income, which allows them to choose from different items they can take home instead of the old means of receiving prepackaged meals.

New York Common Pantry
New York Common Pantry works toward the reduction of hunger and food insecurity through an array of programs that function to establish long-term independence for those we serve. Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, our Choice Pantry Program allows its participants to choose culturally appropriate, nutritionally balanced food packages. This model empowers our Pantry members to be active participants in the distribution process by encouraging them to pick the nutritious food they would like to receive. Pantry members can order their food in advance via the Common Pantry’s website or order on-site by using wireless touch-screen tablets. Volunteers pack each bag according to each Pantry member’s specifications with selections in each of the major food groups.
Anyone who wishes to register to receive food from the Pantry can stop by the Help 365 window between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Sundays and holidays.
Required Documents:
- Photo ID for all adults in the household
- ID for all children in the household, ie. Birth certificate, school letter
- Proof of address, ie. rent receipt or lease
- Proof of income and/or benefits, ie. letter from employer, pay stub, award or budget letter

Sophie Levy A'H Meals on Wheels provides s home-cooked meals on a short-term basis for families in need, Monday through Friday, for up to two weeks. We have cooked for hundreds of families over the years, specifically those experiencing a crisis or tending to a newborn baby. The gourmet meals are cooked daily by our volunteer chefs and delivered fresh by our volunteer drivers. The United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg Inc.
United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg, Inc. (UJO), the central planning and social service agency for organizations in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. UJO provides a wide array of services including information and referral to legal assistance, environmental and health consultation, housing, planning and development, and job training.
The UJO runs a local Meals-on-Wheels program for seniors which delivers meals daily to homebound persons. The UJO also operates a free Food Pantry, provides Food Vouchers at local food centers, assists with enrollment to receive Food Stamps, provides nutritional consultations for individuals, and offers nutrition seminars for community groups, senior citizen centers and schools. Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger provides emergency food, and other social services including Food Stamp screenings, Brooklyn’s only community-focused urban garden and assistance with enrollment in publicly-supported health insurance to persons in need.
SuperPantry Program provides emergency food Five days a week. New Yorkers in need visit our SuperPantry in search of free food and support services. The program is unique in comparison to an average food pantry because the food is selected based on client choice and is run similar to a supermarket. The individuals are allowed to select fresh fruits, vegetables and various food items according to their preference instead of receiving a pre-packaged pantry bag.

Community Help in Park Slope, Inc. (CHiPS)
Community Help in Park Slope, Inc. (CHiPS), is a soup kitchen and women’s shelter in Park Slope that provides hot meals to the hungry and homeless.
The CHiPS Soup Kitchen is staffed by a group of dedicated volunteers who come together to ensure hungry neighbors have a place to turn for delicious, healthy meals. We offer a friendly environment where our volunteers are committed to making our guests feel at home. We know many of our guests by their names, favorite meals, and birthdays. Guests are not asked to provide identification or to participate in religious activities; our kitchen serves the hungry regardless of immigration status or religious beliefs.
When it comes to food, CHiPS meals are some of the healthiest around. Nearly 80 percent of the food we prepare is donated by the Park Slope Food Coop, which means it’s fresh and often organic. Restaurants nearby sometimes donate entire meals, so guests enjoy fresh-baked breads and even barbeque. Our Soup Kitchen provides bagged lunches for guests to take with them in the afternoon. These generally contain a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and a beverage. On Fridays, CHiPS distributes pantry bags of donated canned goods. These bags help tide the needy over the weekend. We also provide hot coffee and bread in the mornings.

CAMBA
CAMBA’s emergency food pantry operates on a client-choice/supermarket-style system, where clients choose individual food items rather than receiving pre-packed bags, as they would at traditional pantries.
The pantry distributes a three-day supply of nutritional food. This is critical for many of our clients who are unable to maintain a healthy diet, including the elderly and those at or below the poverty level. Clients include current CAMBA clients, those referred by other agencies and organizations and people who self-refer.

The Hope Center Development Corp (HCDC)
Located in southeast Brooklyn, The Hope Center Development Corp (HCDC) is a community-based organization that serves a wide range of needs. Our mission is to serve as a resource for individuals and families in the East Flatbush and neighboring communities. The Hope Center is a place where community residents can seek assistance.
We provide weekly community outreach services on Saturdays. You can get a warm meal, groceries and clothing. If you or someone you know is in need, please come see us.
The food pantry supplies community residents with bags of groceries each month. Grocery bags are prepared weekly with a focus on good nutrition and contain vegetables, high-protein canned goods, pre-cooked meals, low-fat dairy products and other food items. The pantry is also accessible daily to families in crises.
The Soup Kitchen prepares and serves hot sumptuous meals to men, women and children in our community weekly.
The Hope Center provide clothes and shoes to needy families including single mothers, teenage parents, immigrant families and others. Seasonal clothing such as coats, boots and other apparel are purchased by the Center and donated by individuals within the larger church community.

Shorefront Jewish Community Council
The Shorefront Jewish Community Council (Shorefront JCC) provides services to immigrants, the elderly and the economically disadvantaged in Brighton Beach and neighboring communities.
Shorefront Jewish Community Council Food Pantry offers groceries to families in need. Every month we distribute staple foods provided to us by Met Council. Participants pick up the food at a central location. We provide several prepared meals per week to individuals and families who use most of their income to pay their rent. Participants pick up their meals once a week. A limited number of meals for those with an urgent, immediate need, through the Emergency Food Security program, available at the SJCC office.

Covenant House New York
Street Outreach and Drop-In Center program provides food, clothing, access to shelter and other needed social services to young adults. Through this service, Covenant House builds positive relationships with youth who are living on the streets and at risk of becoming exploited.
The Outreach staff transports young people to our Youth Shelter, refers them to other resource centers, and provides other immediate services. We also provide aftercare services to those young people who have previously received services in our Youth Shelter and Rights of Passage Program. We are working towards increasing young people's knowledge of community resources and provide on going services as needed.

Jewish Association Serving the Aging (JASA)
JASA is New York’s largest agency serving older adults by providing social work, recreational, health, housing, cultural and educational services to help sustain them in their homes and communities and offer opportunities for a better quality of life and peace of mind for their families and friends. We fulfill the Jewish value of honoring the aging while serving adults of all races, religions and economic backgrounds.
JASA provides nutritious and life sustaining meals to seniors who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. We provide kosher and non-kosher meals, served in group settings at our Senior Centers or delivered to the homes of homebound seniors through our home delivered meals programs.
•Group Meals: Seniors gather daily at JASA's Senior Centers throughout New York City to enjoy both kosher and non-kosher hot, nutritious lunches and good conversation. Some of our centers also provide a healthy breakfast. JASA also offers these clients practical advice from trained nutritionists.
•Home Delivered Meals: By providing delivery of nutritious and well-balanced meals, JASA ensures that our clients who are confined to their homes are receiving the vital nourishment necessary to be physically healthy and mentally alert. Kosher meals are available upon request. Through JASA's Case Management Program, potential clients are individually assessed and evaluated.
•Passover Seders: JASA conducts community Passover Seders for JASA clients who might not otherwise be able to observe the holiday. In the time-honored tradition of Passover, JASA brings together our homebound clients to take part in the Seder service before enjoying the traditional Passover meal. JASA also delivers special holiday meals to our home delivered meals clients.

Through a supermarket-style food pantry, West Side Campaign Against Hunger's mission alleviates hunger and creates a culture that promotes self-reliance and works for change.
West Side Campaign Against Hunger changes our perception of hungry people by working in partnership with them, providing food with dignity, and empowering customers to find solutions.
West Side Campaign Against Hunger welcomes low-income residents from all 5 boroughs of New York City, regardless of household size or immigration status. Learn more about what you will need to bring, to get started.
Customers are given a food card based on the number of family members. The card specifies the amount of cereals, fruits, vegetables, protein and dairy, but gives our customers the choice to pick the kind they prefer. The shopping card is based on the USDA’s MyPlate, ensuring our customers received balanced, nutritious meals.
Customers can come once a month and get nutritious food for the family for three days. We understand that everyone has different tastes and needs, so we offer a healthy variety of food. There are always fresh fruit and vegetable choices.

These additional capacities will have the potential to reach an additional 1,250 families per month and distribute groceries for hundreds of thousands meals per year.

The Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry serves families, 3 days a week, distributing food packages and holiday meals for the needy every month, through both scheduled distributions and immediate response to emergency needs.
The Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry provides a three to five day supply of emergency groceries once every two weeks for residents of our service area who do not have enough food because they lack the funds with which to purchase it on their own.All families and individuals are eligible to receive food assistance.

City Harvest
Community members gather in farmers market settings, where they receive fresh produce and participate in cooking demonstrations to learn how to make healthy meals. Our community health partners also offer free wellness programs, such as blood pressure screenings. We also partner with other non-profit organizations, including Brighter Bites, Harlem Children’s Zone, and the YWCA in Queens to create bi-monthly food distributions at sites that are fully operated by members of the community they serve. More Grace Redemptive Center
More Grace Redemptive Center's Food Pantry provides food for hundreds of individuals weekly in our community. Our ministry helps to sustain families with urgent food needs as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ commanded and exemplified.
The Sign-in/Registration booth opens at 9:00am at the side-entrance of More Grace Redemeptive Center. During this time, clients will join a line and tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. At 11:00am once the doors open, numbers will be called. Upon presentation of ticket stub to a pantry assistant, the client will be given his or her pre-packaged bag(s).
Each client must sign for their bag(s). The Food Pantry puts high priority on making wholesome, nutritious foods available to families we serve. Much of what we distribute is fresh produce, dairy products, fresh meats, and other refrigerated and frozen products. More than 13,000 nutritious meals leave our pantry each year; that includes, of course, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, fruit juices, and many other types of nonperishable foods. Each pre-packaged bag contains at least three (3) of the five (5) food groups. Our goal is to provide at least one complete dinner, and enough accompanying items to provide meals for several days.

Drive-thru Food Pantries
Since the start of the coronavirus, drive-thru food pantries have become the safest, most efficient way to provide food to our struggling neighbors.
Who can visit a drive-thru pantry?
Drive-thru pantries are open for anyone who needs help getting food. There are no eligibility criteria. Visitors do not need to provide any identification or income statements.
Only two piece of information is asked
- You Zipcode, and
- Number of people in their family.
You dont need to take appointment. Drive-thru pantries are first-come, first served so plan to arrive early.
How do drive-thru pantries actually work?
There are lot of volunteers help at Drive-thru food pantries. While not all drive-thru pantries operate in the same way, here�s how most work:
Staff and volunteers direct visitors to the parking area.
Visitors pull up to the pantry in their car and are usually guided into a clearly marked queue. As people move through the pantry, staff will continue to move the cars forward to get everyone through as quickly and safely as possible.
Checkin.
You are required to fill some information for Pantry's recording keeping.
Food is loaded into the cars.
Pre-packed bags of food, usually full of shelf-stable items like pasta, canned fruit and peanut butter, as well as fresh produce and meats are loaded by volunteers into the trunk of the car.

Show up early.
