Lord of Glory Food Pantry
Since Lord of Glory’s food pantry was created over 10 years ago, it has only increased in its ability to bring food and the love of God to the surrounding community. Through our volunteers and congregational donations, both monetary and of non-perishable goods, we have been able to help those in need within our community and within the Lord of Glory family. Our Food Pantry is currently operated primarily by volunteers, and is open to serve clients on Tuesdays 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursdays 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm, Saturdays 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Our food pantry is an affiliated agency of the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Through our affiliation we are able to obtain food for pennies on the dollar. WPC Food Pantry
The Deacons of Wildwood Presbyterian Church sponsor a food pantry distribution of perishable and imperishable food on the first Saturday morning of every month. Recipients are asked to arrive no sooner that 9:00 a.m. to participate in the lottery system to determine who is served first. Volunteers should come from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. The pantry benefits people in Warren and Avon Townships. Visitors pull up to the pantry in their car and are usually guided into a clearly marked queue. As people move through the pantry, staff will continue to move the cars forward to get everyone through as quickly and safely as possible.
