First Presbyterian Church Port Richey
We at First Presbyterian believe that one of our duties as followers of Jesus Christ is to care for our fellow human beings without prejudice of race, creed, color, national origin, ideology, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. As disciples of Jesus Christ we welcome to our community all who struggle in this human venture.
During food distribution, people are welcomed to come and choose the items they like to eat and are given several well-balanced nutritional meals every visit. In conjunction with the food distribution ministry, First Presbyterian Church of Port Richey, Florida, also serves a weekly hot meal to the community. All are invited and no one has to prove a need. We feed all who come to our door.
Last but not least, we are equipped to address the spiritual and pastoral needs of all who come for food. Under the guidance of The Rev. Dr. Jeffrey G. Guild, a retired Air Force Chaplain and Presbyterian Church (USA) minister, volunteers are available to be with those in need. Our volunteers receive some training to equip them to listen, pray, and recognize referral needs. We believe that religion is a personal choice, and people are free to partake of our counseling, prayer, and worship services as offered and food is in no way contingent on attending a worship service or hearing a sermon.

St. Giles Episcopal Church
The St. Giles’ Emergency Food Pantry is an outreach ministry of St. Giles’ Episcopal Church in Pinellas Park, Florida. The Pantry is a distributer of USDA Commodities to anyone who is a resident of the state of Florida and meets the requirements set forth by the government. Because of the number of people the Pantry serves, it receives two deliveries of commodities each month. In addition to the commodities, the Pantry also distributes Emergency Food. Emergency food is food that is donated to the Pantry and food that the Pantry buys.

Clearview United Methodist Church
At Clearview United Methodist Church we are a group of people who seek to nourish individuals, both body and soul. We desire to be one people united in ministry that breathes the life of the spirit into our community and gives everyone the opportunity to know and experience the love of giving.
Our food pantry is open on Thursday mornings every week with the exception of the last Thursday of the month. We serve more than 800 people through our pantry each month. The food pantry is funded by government grants as well as donations from local grocery stores. Even with the funding we receive, we are still hoping to serve and help more and more individuals. We will gladly accept any donations of food items or hygiene products. If you would like to serve, we are always looking for volunteers.

Families of all religions, backgrounds, and cultures can contact Catholic Charity centers for help.
Catholic Charities in Pinellas, Florida are open to families on a first-come, first-serve basis. The centers operate during normal business hours, and provide walk-ins with groceries, food boxes, and items to prepare a meal.
The food pantries are like grocery stores, allow clients the ability to choose the items they need from the groceries that are available on site.

St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) embraces all works of charity and justice which includes any form of help that alleviates suffering or deprivation and promotes human dignity and personal integrity in all their dimensions. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its cause, making no distinction of creed, ethnic background, political opinions or economic status in those served. Members observe the utmost confidentiality in the provision of material and any other type of support.
What do we do:
• Gather monthly to pray, read the Lord’s word, reflect and share Vincentian experiences in serving the poor.
• Provide person to person contact through home visits
• Visit those in jail to listen, comfort and encourage them through song, prayer and bringing them the Holy Eucharist
• Provide financial assistance when possible – funds are paid directly to the service providers
• Provide information on additional private and government support services where appropriate
• Referrals for clothing and furniture to the SVDP Thrift Store
• Food drives to stock the SVDP Pantry

The mobile food pantry program distributes food directly to families in communities around Pinellas, Florida in need during large-scale one-day distributions.
A typical mobile pantry serves 200-250 families distributing up to 10,000 pounds of food. This past year over 6.6 million pounds were distributed through this program.
Mobile food pantries usually visit churches, community centers, schools, shopping centers, and other convenient locations. They usually go to areas where there aren't grocery stores or other food pantries.

St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry
The St. Vincent de Paul food pantry operates around Pinellas, Florida much like a grocery store where people in need can choose their own food. It helps to enhance their personal dignity and reduces waste due to unwanted food items.
It also helps them to be proactive in addressing any underlying health issues. This is our model of choice for food pantries in the future.

St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen
The Soup Kitchen was established in 1982 to feed the poor and hungry in the Clearwater area. The first facility was in the Knights of Columbus building. Later, the Soup Kitchen moved to Trinity Presbyterian Church and the Calvary Baptist Church provided bus transportation from downtown. At this point the Soup Kitchen was serving 85 meals a day, and needed to move to a larger facility. A building was located in 1990 which permitted us to expand our food service as well as provide additional services to poor and hungry people in and around the city. The Soup Kitchen’s financial support comes entirely from private donations from individuals and groups. Although it is a Catholic lay organization, the Soup Kitchen receives support from people and organizations of all faiths. Much of the food served is donated by local supermarkets, produce stands, and bakeries. Vans from the Soup Kitchen pick up donated food three days a week, which is then stored in our walk-in freezer and refrigerator. Approximately two hundred people volunteer over 30,000 hours a year to enable us to serve nearly 60,000 meals. We are open seven days a week, 365 days a year, providing a hot meal which includes, soup, salad or fruit, hot entrée, bread, beverage, and dessert. Serving Hours: every day 8:30 am - 10:30 am; Showers: every day 6:00 am - 9:50 am (first come, first served); Laundry: M-W-F 6:00 am - 9:30 am (1 load per client)

Taking It To The Streets Ministries wants to be your Community Compassion Partner. To bring awareness of and assistance to the issues facing the less fortunate among us.
We want to bridge the gap between those in need of assistance and those who have been blessed, and are fortunate enough and wish to provide assistance.
The food pantry provides food on the 2nd Saturday of the Month. We will be giving out meats, canned and dry goods, drinks, and snack items. In order to receive items families must be registered. Registration will begin at 08:30 am and last until 10:00 am. Anyone after 10 am will not be able to receive items from the food pantry. We will start distributing the food boxes to registered families at 09:30 am until 11:30 am.

Good Samaritan Mission
Good Samaritan Mission holds weekly adult education classes. Each class is typically ½ hour long and at the end of class each student receives a token. This token is turned in at La Tiendita (The Little Store) for a grocery bag that may be filled with food and toiletries of the student’s choice. Students may also choose to save their tokens for our Christmas Blessings Outreach event, share them with friends and family or keep them for a time of greater need.
Classes vary every week, but may include topics such as: Bible, cooking/nutrition, emergency preparedness, finance, health, immigration information, occupational safety, parenting, sewing, ESL, GED, computer and hair-cutting. We strive to offer classes that are relevant to the issues that our population faces. Several community agencies (for example, the Red Cross) are generous enough to present information to our students on a regular basis.

St. Petersburg Dream Center
St. Petersburg Dream Center's primary mission continues to be reaching out hands of hope and serving our community. Our Goal is to give a hand up to those in need, rather than a hand-out. We are a non-profit outreach designed to uplift and educate our local community about local resources that are available in times of need, crisis or transition.
Our food pantry provides food to meet basic nutritional needs for individuals and families in need and is available throughout Pinellas Park area. Our clients are children, adults or senior citizens with limited or no income, who simply have fallen on hard times or recently unemployed. The amount of food given depends on household size. Food pantry items are distributed on the third Friday of every month. You will need to bring ID, Social Security cards for everyone in the household and proof of residence, such as a utility bill to your appointment when registering.

Suncoast Haven of Rest Rescue Mission
The Suncoast Haven of Rest Rescue Mission is a nonprofit corporation that serves all of Pinelas County. Our campus serves the needy public as a food pantry, food bank, a day center, a rehabilitation center and a church.
The doors to our Rescue Mission are always open seven days a week to the poor and needy. Our resident volunteer staff consists of formerly homeless men and women who have officially entered into our drug and alcohol free Ministerial Volunteers In Training program for rehabilitation (tearing down the old) and ministerial training (building up the new), and we also receive working assistance from many warm-hearted Christian men and women volunteers, and from hundreds of Community Service workers
We provide free boxes of groceries, donated clothing, and pre-owned toys to tens of thousands of, computer registered domiciled (they have apartments or homes) but impoverished families of men, women, and children living throughout Pinellas County.

First Assembly of God, Clearwater - UFO Food Pantry
Where can folks turn when they lose their job, have medical problems or other difficult situations? Who will help them when their income is inadequate to provide needed food for their family? United Family Outreach, fondly called UFO, is located in the little house facing Wyatt St. on the North side of our church property. Here volunteers touch dozens of families’ lives every week. Every Saturday, volunteers take the UFO van to pick up food from area stores and additional volunteers stock shelves when the food is delivered to the pantry. Every Monday and Tuesday at 10:00am, a group of volunteers, directed by Sally Bentley, greets counsels and prays with the neighbors in need. Each is permitted to “shop†in the “UFO STORE†to supplement their family’s grocery needs. It is precious to see people’s needs met and to witness when a family achieves solutions to their difficult times. Feeding America, once a month, brings a truck full of food to disperse to hundreds of people lined up to receive help. Food Pantry Open Monday’s and Tuesday’s at 10:00 am.

Beacon Street Ministries, Inc.
The Outreach strives to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of God’s homeless, working poor, and unemployed population in Pinellas County. Through God’s blessings we provide a warm welcome, a hot meal, boxes of food, clothing, and his precious message of salvation. Skycrest Food Pantry
The Skycrest Food Pantry provides 3 days' worth of food to individuals. We ask no questions other than your household size, which is needed to determine the amount of food you receive.
In April 2021, we are open on Saturday, April 17th from 10 AM to Noon. Starting in May 2021, food can be picked up on Tuesdays from 1 pm-3 pm as well as the third Saturday of every month.

H.E.L.P. Ministries, Inc.
Currently serving approximately 800 to 1,000 families per week, our Outreach Ministry meets basic needs, such as clothing, toys, resource referrals, counseling, information, ministering, meals, with the main focus targeted on supplying food baskets designed to cover the nutritional requirements for a week's worth of meals. As an example, for a family of four, the median total cost value of filling a supply basket with private, public and merchant donations is valued at $60. Families and individuals may frequent the pantry as often as once a week on Tuesdays to receive aide. This is a critical service provided to many indigent, homeless, unemployed, or destitute persons. Those who come may not necessarily qualify, or not qualify quick enough, to receive locally available government or other social aide. H.E.L.P. Ministries, Inc. is, therefore, providing a critical stopgap measure for many that have nowhere else to turn.

Worldwide Word of Faith - Food Pantry
We currently distribute food once a month on the third Wednesday of the month. We obtain the food from Feeding America and various donors. We feed between 70-90 families at the monthy distribution. Drive-thru Food Pantries
Since the start of the coronavirus, drive-thru food pantries have become the safest, most efficient way to provide food to our struggling neighbors.
Who can visit a drive-thru pantry?
Drive-thru pantries are open for anyone who needs help getting food. There are no eligibility criteria. Visitors do not need to provide any identification or income statements.
Only two piece of information is asked
- You Zipcode, and
- Number of people in their family.
You dont need to take appointment. Drive-thru pantries are first-come, first served so plan to arrive early.
How do drive-thru pantries actually work?
There are lot of volunteers help at Drive-thru food pantries. While not all drive-thru pantries operate in the same way, here�s how most work:
Staff and volunteers direct visitors to the parking area.
Visitors pull up to the pantry in their car and are usually guided into a clearly marked queue. As people move through the pantry, staff will continue to move the cars forward to get everyone through as quickly and safely as possible.
Checkin.
You are required to fill some information for Pantry's recording keeping.
Food is loaded into the cars.
Pre-packed bags of food, usually full of shelf-stable items like pasta, canned fruit and peanut butter, as well as fresh produce and meats are loaded by volunteers into the trunk of the car.
Pet Food Pantry
One in four pet owners who give up their pets to a shelter say it is because they cannot afford to care for them. Pet Food Pantries are designed to fill the void in the nation�s current assistance programs that exclude the purchase of food and supplies for family pets.
The Pet Food Pantry provides free pet food, for 3 months or less, to pet owners who cannot afford to feed their pets in Pinellas, Florida
Who are eligible for Pet Food Pantry
Pet Food Pantry helps people who are:
- All ages, races and marital status
- Unemployed or underemployed
- Retired, living on social security or other limited income
- Physically or mentally disabled
- Experiencing homelessness or housing instability
Tips for Visiting a Food Pantry
Show up early.
This is very important. This means you will be first in line and have a chance to get the items that are sought after and in limited quantities such as fresh produce, dairy and frozen food.
You don't usually need to show up hours ahead of time but coming at least an hour before is usually a good idea.
Remember all documentation.
Many food pantries require documentation to prove who you are, and in some cases, where you live.
This is to make sure people are not coming more than they are allowed or using fake names to do so. Call ahead of time to find out what documentation is needed.
It's just your photo ID and a piece of mail that verifies your address.
Use several food banks.
Using more than one food bank (when available) is smart because you may be able to get something at one that you may not get at another.
For instance, one may have a deal with a local gardener that gives them their extras. This may mean this food bank has more produce.
Eligible for other programs?
Ask your Department of Social Services office if you are eligible for other assistance programs to supplement your household’s food supply.
They can easily tell you if you can apply for WIC (Women and Infant Children), USDA Commodities or SNAP(Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits.
Ask about extras.
If you have special needs for infants or special diets, the pantries may be able to assist you.
Many times, they can help with diapers, baby formula, baby food, personal hygiene products, and even special diet items like gluten free or sugar free foods.
Go on different days of the week.
Depending on the food pantry, they may be open only one or two days a week or they may be open all seven days. When you have a choice, going midweek is often best as it is less crowded.
Be polite to workers.
Nearly everyone at a food bank is a volunteer. Be polite to the workers there as they often deal with highly emotional situations.
