Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs
Since 1989, The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs has been providing emergency food for families and individuals in need. Clients must have a referral from one of our supporting churches. Referrals are carefully screened so that we use our supplies wisely. We are not able to serve anyone without a referral. The Food Pantry is located in the Augusta Savage Cultural Center and is open Monday thru Thursday from 10:00am-4:00pm and Friday from 10:00am-1:00pm.

Middleburg UMC - FOOD BRIDGE/BREAD BASKET
Food Bridge is an outreach ministry hosted in the Budington Building that provides groceries and bread items to local families unable to make ends meet. ON THURSDAY MORNINGS FROM 10AM-12PM, area families from all around the county come to receive groceries to keep food on their tables, see movement in the body of Christ, and more importantly to - through our ministry - be shown and experience the love of Jesus Christ that He has so mercifully shown us here at Middleburg UMC. The Bread Basket is open every SATURDAY FROM 10AM TO 12 PM in the Budington Building. We offer bread, sweets, and other miscellaneous foods to our clients. We are presently serving approximately 200 families every Saturday.

True Vine Ministry Food Pantry
The Walk-In and Mobile Food Pantry Ministry is currently up and running and has been in the works for over a decade with our Food Programs. Through this sector, needs are being met by supplying hundreds of needy families with basic food and nutrition. Not only that, but our staff and volunteers are already being coached and mentored in learning survival, teamwork and volunteer skills which has instilled in each of them the importance of caring, sharing & working together, enhancing employ-ability skills and giving back to the community. We’ve served over 250 families per month (averaging 750+ people per month) through our inside food pantry and over 150 families per month (averaging 450+ people per month) through the mobile food drive, totaling over 1,100+ people per month. Our success in dispersing over 600,000 lbs. of free food has helped low income, economically disadvantaged, homeless, veterans, etc. Food Pantry - 2nd Tuesday 11:00AM - 1:00PM, 4th Thursday 4PM - 5:30PM; Mobile Food Distribution - Distribution will begin on Wednesdays @ 8:30AM

Drive-thru Food Pantries
Drive-thru food pantries are a convenient and efficient way to distribute food to neighbors in need. They are open to anyone — no eligibility requirements or income verification needed.
Who can visit a drive-thru pantry?
Drive-thru pantries are open for anyone who needs help getting food. There are no eligibility criteria. Visitors do not need to provide any identification or income statements.
You will typically only need to provide:
- Your zip code, and
- Number of people in your household.
No appointment is needed. Drive-thru pantries are first-come, first-served — plan to arrive early as lines can fill quickly.
How do drive-thru pantries work?
Volunteers and staff manage the distribution line. Here is how most drive-thru pantries operate:
Staff and volunteers direct visitors to the distribution area.
Visitors pull up in their car and are guided into a clearly marked queue. Staff move cars forward to keep the line moving quickly.
Check-in.
You may be asked to provide your zip code and household size for the pantry's records.
Food is loaded into your car.
Pre-packed bags of food — typically including shelf-stable items like pasta, canned fruit, and peanut butter, as well as fresh produce and meats — are loaded by volunteers directly into your trunk.

One in four pet owners who give up their pets to a shelter say it is because they cannot afford to care for them. Pet Food Pantries are designed to fill the void in the nation�s current assistance programs that exclude the purchase of food and supplies for family pets.
The Pet Food Pantry provides free pet food, for 3 months or less, to pet owners who cannot afford to feed their pets in Keystone Heights, Florida
Who are eligible for Pet Food Pantry
Pet Food Pantry helps people who are:
- All ages, races and marital status
- Unemployed or underemployed
- Retired, living on social security or other limited income
- Physically or mentally disabled
- Experiencing homelessness or housing instability
Tips for Visiting a Food Pantry
Show up early.
This is very important. This means you will be first in line and have a chance to get the items that are sought after and in limited quantities such as fresh produce, dairy and frozen food.
You don't usually need to show up hours ahead of time but coming at least an hour before is usually a good idea.
Remember all documentation.
Many food pantries require documentation to prove who you are, and in some cases, where you live.
This is to make sure people are not coming more than they are allowed or using fake names to do so. Call ahead of time to find out what documentation is needed.
It's just your photo ID and a piece of mail that verifies your address.
Use several food banks.
Using more than one food bank (when available) is smart because you may be able to get something at one that you may not get at another.
For instance, one may have a deal with a local gardener that gives them their extras. This may mean this food bank has more produce.
Eligible for other programs?
Ask your Department of Social Services office if you are eligible for other assistance programs to supplement your household’s food supply.
They can easily tell you if you can apply for WIC (Women and Infant Children), USDA Commodities or SNAP(Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits.
