New Covenant House of Hospitality
New Covenant House mission is “to provide a nutritious meal to all those who are hungry. The Trumbull Food Pantry is located at The Center at Priscilla Place, 23 Priscilla Place, off of Huntington Turnpike near the Bunny Fountain and the Fairchild-Nichols Library. The Food Pantry is made available to Trumbull Residents who meet the state's financial criteria for public assistance. Eligibility is determined by the Trumbull Department of Social Services, located at the same address. Families or singles interested in becoming pantry clients should call (203) 452-5198 to set up an appointment to come in to determine eligibility. Potential clients must show identification and at least one piece of mail with a Trumbull address. Appointments are necessary, and the standard pantry hours are 10 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Pantry visits are limited to once a month. Our residents and emergency shelter guests join low-income individuals and families for three free meals in our dining room, seven days a week. Families struggling to make ends meet can receive a Pantry Box filled with enough food to feed a family for one week. Often, families tell us this support allows them to pay for other necessities such as rent, utilities or medical bills. Our two Mobile Kitchens visit impoverished neighborhoods in Bridgeport and South Norwalk. St. John's Family Center
St. John's Family Center was founded in 1996 by the Rev. Ann Jensen, then Associate Rector of St. John's Parish. What started with the assistance of the Child Guidance Center and representatives from other non-profit social service agencies has now grown to make The Family Center a focal point for children and their families. Parishioners and volunteers collaborate with a variety of services and programs to serve the community. Food Pantry: Our food pantry is open the second and the fourth Saturday of the month from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Referral letter and ID are necessary in order to participate in this program. Community Suppers: A meal is available to anyone who needs it on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Operation Hope - Community Kitchen
At our Community Kitchen, a team of volunteers cook and serve hot, nutritious meals to an average of 45 individuals every day of the year. The Kitchen serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, along with a hot breakfast three mornings a week–resulting in over 30,000 meals served each year! Unfortunately, far too many people in our community do not have enough money left after paying for housing or other basic necessities to purchase food. We receive donations of meals from churches, synagogues, school groups, individuals and families. Individuals and groups do the cooking and serving, as well as donate the food for each meal. Hours of operation: 7 days a week, lunch served from 11:30am – 1:00pm, dinner served from 5:30pm – 6:30pm

Operation Hope - Food Pantry
No one should have to worry about putting food on the table. Our volunteer-run and operated food pantry assists families in meeting their basic food needs, and also to connect them with other resources which help eliminate their food insecurity. One of the primary ways in which our food pantry assists people is that it allows them to focus on stabilizing other areas of their lives. For some of our clients our Pantry supplements what Food Stamps do not cover, like toilet paper, toothpaste, and diapers. For most others it simply helps to make ends meet when they have to choose between paying rent or a heating bill or going to the grocery store for food. The majority of the food donations we receive come from generous members of our community. Among the ways in which we are able to secure food for our shelves are: school, church, and corporate food drives, individuals may solicit large food and/or personal products donations from companies, the Annual Postal Service Food Drive in May, financial contributions directed specifically to the food pantry, and many other community-driven projects. Once we receive the donations, our dedicated volunteers sort and stock the shelves and distribute food and other necessities to clients. Monroe Food Pantry
The Monroe Food Pantry provides emergency food for needy individuals and families in Monroe. We distribute food once a month to people who have registered with the Monroe Department of Social and Senior Services. The Pantry provides about a week’s worth of food and other necessary items to more than 100 households per month. Volunteers help sort food, stock shelves, assist people with "shopping†for their groceries at the Pantry and deliver food to people who cannot get to the Pantry on their own. The Food Pantry Coordinator works 15 hours per week and relies on volunteers to help with many different tasks to get the work of the pantry done.

The Thomas Merton Center
THE THOMAS MERTON CENTER was founded in 1974 by a group of concerned individuals who saw a need for services to the economically disadvantaged people in the city of Bridgeport. As the times have changed and the needs of the people we serve have changed we have developed programs that address issues such as housing, nutritional needs, healthcare needs, parenting issues and youth at risk. The Thomas Merton House of Hospitality provides breakfast, lunch and day shelter to approximately 210 people each day Monday through Saturday. We serve about 85,000 meals a year. St. Stephen’s Food Pantry provides groceries for 5 days of nutritious meals per month for families and individuals living in the 06604, 06605, and 06606 zip codes in Bridgeport. We serve over 500 families per month and operate in collaboration with ABCD, Inc. The emphasis of the pantry is providing healthy food to our guests, as currently 50% of the food we distribute is quality food rescued from local grocery stores; mostly fresh fruits, vegetables and healthy prepared foods that would have been thrown out due to a short shelf life, but are perfectly safe and OK to eat. Brotherhood In Action of Bethel, Inc. is a local, all volunteer, federally recognized non-profit organization. Since 1980 we have been providing food, rent and utilities assistance, as well as other forms of financial assistance, to those in need who reside in the town of Bethel, Connecticut. We collect and purchase food to be distributed to Bethel individuals and families in need at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Throughout the year, we respond to requests for help as needed. Neighbor to Neighbor is a non-profit organization that provides free weekly food to over 1,100 Greenwich residents and free clothing and household items to 2,600 residents of Greenwich, Stamford and Port Chester (NY). Clients are referred by Greenwich Department of Social Services and local social service agencies, schools and religious institutions. Neighbor to Neighbor provides free food to individuals and families on both an emergency and supplemental basis. While emergency clients are referred by numerous entities from the greater Greenwich area, our supplemental food clients are Greenwich residents qualified and referred by the Greenwich Department of Social Services, Family Center Head Start and RITE programs, Greenwich Public Schools and Pathways. The “client choice†food pantry allows our clients to select their own food based on nutritional guidelines and personal preferences. We have moved beyond cans and now also offer whole wheat bread, meat, 2% milk and fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Open Door Shelter - Manna House Kitchen and Pantry
We provide shelter nightly with over 95 beds in our facility located at 4 Merritt St. From this same facility we operate the Manna House kitchen and pantry. Sterling House Community Center
Sterling House is a multi-service community center located in the heart of Stratford, Connecticut. Since its opening, Sterling House has been a mecca for young and old. It is dedicated to serving all ages from the toddler to the senior adult, and provides affordable social, educational and recreational activities which assist them in their positive and healthy development. CACD's food pantry is one of the three largest food pantries in Danbury. The Food Pantry is open every Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. The food pantry provides healthy, nutritious food once per month to income-eligible households and individuals. The Food Pantry supplies food to clients on an eligibility basis that is determined by income. Families with income below 200% of the federal poverty level are eligible for Food Pantry benefits. Required proof of eligibility includes a photo ID and proof of household income for all members of the family. The number of meals distributed continues to rise as economic conditions in the area worsen. On an average month CACD serves around 250 people per month at the food pantry. IAM Interfaith AIDS Ministry of Greater Danbury - The Living Pantry
The Living Pantry is a client choice, personal shopping, food and personal care pantry, providing fresh foods including meat, poultry, fruits, vegetables and dairy products, along with non-perishable food, personal care items and nutrition education, for those living with HIV/AIDS and their families and/or significant others. People with HIV/AIDS are, thankfully, living longer but they are developing diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and kidney disease, all of which are impacted by food choices. A nutritionist funded by the USDA, SNAP program, offers education regarding choosing healthful diets for our pantry recipients. Acting as a personal shopper, clients learn, on the spot, which foods are best for them, given their medical condition. We are the only pantry to offer this service. The goal of the Living Pantry is to assist people living with HIV/AIDS access the best nutrition, develop healthy eating habits, and live healthier lives. The Living Pantry was started in 1995 to meet the special needs of those living with HIV /AIDS. HIV is a debilitating virus that can interrupt the body’s ability to fight off life threatening diseases. Research has shown that eating a healthy diet can lessen the impact of the disease. The food pantry provides both nutritious food and assistance to clients to use their other food resources, including food stamps, most effectively. Personal care items, not covered by food stamps, were added to improve the health and quality of life of our clients. These include toilet paper, soap, shampoo and other personal hygiene products. Community Kitchen is HwH’s soup kitchen that is operated at the Gillespie Center and serves 30,000 meals annually. Volunteers from numerous organizations in our community take turns preparing lunches and dinners; breakfast is always available through the resources of our Food Pantry. Food Pantry is also located at the Gillespie Center and is supplied by a variety of food collection and donation drives in Westport and surrounding Fairfield County. The Food Pantry is now open to all who need groceries every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 1pm - 5pm. One pre-packaged bag of groceries can be picked up weekly. Since the start of the coronavirus, drive-thru food pantries have become the safest, most efficient way to provide food to our struggling neighbors.
Who can visit a drive-thru pantry?
Drive-thru pantries are open for anyone who needs help getting food. There are no eligibility criteria. Visitors do not need to provide any identification or income statements.
Only two piece of information is asked

- Number of people in their family.
You dont need to take appointment. Drive-thru pantries are first-come, first served so plan to arrive early.
How do drive-thru pantries actually work?
There are lot of volunteers help at Drive-thru food pantries. While not all drive-thru pantries operate in the same way, here�s how most work:
Staff and volunteers direct visitors to the parking area.
Visitors pull up to the pantry in their car and are usually guided into a clearly marked queue. As people move through the pantry, staff will continue to move the cars forward to get everyone through as quickly and safely as possible.
Checkin.
You are required to fill some information for Pantry's recording keeping.
Food is loaded into the cars.
Pre-packed bags of food, usually full of shelf-stable items like pasta, canned fruit and peanut butter, as well as fresh produce and meats are loaded by volunteers into the trunk of the car.
Pet Food Pantry
One in four pet owners who give up their pets to a shelter say it is because they cannot afford to care for them. Pet Food Pantries are designed to fill the void in the nation�s current assistance programs that exclude the purchase of food and supplies for family pets.
The Pet Food Pantry provides free pet food, for 3 months or less, to pet owners who cannot afford to feed their pets in Fairfield, Connecticut

Tips for Visiting a Food Pantry
Show up early.
This is very important. This means you will be first in line and have a chance to get the items that are sought after and in limited quantities such as fresh produce, dairy and frozen food.
You don't usually need to show up hours ahead of time but coming at least an hour before is usually a good idea.
Remember all documentation.
Many food pantries require documentation to prove who you are, and in some cases, where you live.
This is to make sure people are not coming more than they are allowed or using fake names to do so. Call ahead of time to find out what documentation is needed.
