Section 8 is a government program that helps low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled pay for housing. It gives them vouchers that they can use to rent apartments or houses from private landlords. The amount of rent that the family pays depends on their income. The government pays the rest.

Who is eligible for 2 Bedroom Section 8 House?
To be eligible for a Section 8 house:
- You must be a U.S. citizen or have eligible immigration status.
- In general, your family's income may not exceed 50% of the median income for your county or metro area in Connecticut. Some low-income families may qualify in limited cases.
